Yu Jiang

Biography

 

Dr. Yu Jiang is an Assistant Professor in the Horticulture Section, School of Integrative Plant Science at Cornell University. He founded and leads the Cyber-Agricultural Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) lab in Cornell AgriTech that focuses on systems engineering and data analytics for specialty crops. Biography

 

I lead the National Clonal Germplasm Repository in Davis, California. My research focus is on the conservation of plant genetic resources, particularly grape.

Cheng Zou

Biography

 

I work as part of the genetic team for VitisGen2. My responsibilities included developing rhAmpseq markers, processing the results, building marker-association rules, predicting phenotypes and developing novel strategies in genome assembly and fine mapping. I am currently involved in the VitisGen3 project where I am continuing my work in MAS and cloning of important QTLs.

Biography

 

David is a senior research associate at Cornell AgriTech in Geneva, and provides expertise in host ontogenic resistance, pathogen biology, ecology, and epidemiology, as well as microscopy and digital imaging.

Qi Sun

Biography

 

Qi’s responsibilities are in the computational section of the VitisGen3 project,  developing haplotype references and low cost genotyping methodologies for marker discovery and breeding decisions. Qi’s group also manages databases and cloud computing infrastructure for this project.

Lance Cadle-Davidson

Biography

 

Dr. Cadle-Davidson leads the team for Objective 2: Tools-in-the-toolbox. This objective aims to enrich germplasm in breeding programs for traits of interest using low-cost, data-driven solutions including computer vision for uniform data acquisition and support user-friendly DNA marker solutions.
